Welcome to the Big Canoe Bocce League website.
Please feel free to browse our website to see what Bocce is all about. Bocce is a social game that does not require a great deal of physical prowess. It is a sport that combines socialization and sportsmanship among people of all ages and physical skills. Big Canoe Bocce is played on 3 courts located at the Wildcat Recreation area. Any Big Canoe resident is welcome to play on these courts; however we would encourage you to join the bocce league for to really enjoy this game.
Non league players can sign up for a court ( small fee required ) at the Tennis center. Bocce balls will be provided at this time. During play season, Bocce league matches take precedence for court use..

Bocce Camp: FREE for all attendees
Bocce Camp is held before the Spring and Fall Seasons. Camp is offered during a week long period, but attendance is required for only one 2-hour session.  All players who are new to the league, whether teammates or subs, are required to attend.  Instruction about playing bocce is given as well as an overview of the league rules.

Social Fun Tournament:

Before the start of each season the league offers this event as a way to mix and meet members of the league. All dues paying members are welcome to attend this potluck which is followed by very informal bocce games.

Spring and Fall Seasons:
These two seasons are the heart of the Bocce League. They are both competitive and friendly. Each season runs about eight weeks. For more about how these work see the Introduction to Bocce.

Playoffs and Awards:
The two competitive seasons culminate in an eight team tournament to determine the League Champions. Awards are given out at a function following the tournament..

Monday Night Bocce: - Seasonal

Open to any Big Canoe resident; Bocce Board members host informal evenings of bocce from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.  Everyone takes beverages and snacks to share. The matches are short with an emphasis on having fun..
